I keep waiting for something really exciting to happen so I can write to the world about our adventurous life, but alas everyday monotony will have to do. Rivka recently ripped one of her library books in 4 pieces; it was a board book too! I thought those were indestructable! Winter is finally setting in and we are realizing that we don't have many warm clothes. This is the longest I haven't been pregnant since we've been married and my "normal" size clothes are limited. I got a new calling at church last Sunday. They switched me from the Young Women's program to working in the nursery. Everyone came up to me afterwards to offer their condolences. Whatever! I am so excited! I get to play with my kids! Potty-training is still on hold; I am trying to muster up the patience to try it again. We got out the girls Halloween costumes yesterday. The plan was for us to be a family of pirates but Rivka's was the only costume that got done. Hosanna is going to be a pumpkin like Rivy was last year. I finally figured out how to get Rivka to cooperate with getting her teeth brushed; I bribe her with a sticker every night. Whatever works, right? Rivka has gotten quite bossy lately, which I guess is the curse of being oldest. Her favorite phrases now are "stop it", "go away", and "sshhhh" which she feels inclined to shout at anyone be it stranger or family member. (the terrible two's have begun) She also has her softer side though. If she sees anyone sniffling or wiping their eyes or anything that resembles crying she immediately walks over, strokes the person's face, and gently says "no cry, no cry". Hosanna has mastered scooting backwards. She is looking more and more like Enoch each day. She absolutely adores her father and when he comes home from work in the evening she will look at nothing else. It is impossible to feed or nurse her until she gets some Daddy-time. I wish I could freeze time and keep my babies. These are just the funnest ages.
