Waiting for Zion

Well we are officially members of Lakewood Yacht Club. We ate out at their exclusive restuarant just now and frankly fine dining just doesn't do it for us. I'd much rather have a heaping plate of enchiladas than a few ounces of fish on a plate of garnish. The club is really wonderful though. Their pool is awesome and they even have a little playground. It keeps the girls and me busy.

I'm supposed to take it easy this week until my midwife comes back in town on Sunday; she had to take a last minute trip to visit her sick mother. I'm dilated to 2 cm and the baby has dropped so it could be any day now. I thought I was going into labor last Thursday night. I had contractions for 3 hours sraight but they went away when I got up to take a shower (at 2 in the morning). But it got me all excited for this baby to come. I was feeling a little scared and overwhelmed about having 3 kids but after that false alarm I am really anxious for him to get here already! Plus being 9 months pregnant is the most uncomfortable, tiring, and frustrating thing in the world. All part of God's great plan to make labor and delivery actually sound desirable.

The girls are crazy. Hosanna can run faster than me (speed hasn't been my forte lately) and is always running off. Rivka is recovering from Fifths Disease (some measles-type thing) and still refuses to go #2 in the toilet, so she's in diapers, so she's regressed and we are back to square one. Hosanna finally has enough hair, barely, for pigtails. I thought that was pretty exciting.

We have actually been taking our boat out quite a bit lately. We have to motor over to the other side of the marina to pump out our sewage every week and it doesn't take that much more effort to just keep going and spend a little time out on the bay.

I recently threw my buddy Lyndee a surprise birthday party; it was great. She turned thirty so I had Enoch dress up as the grim reaper and everything. We had a great turn out and had a lot of fun playing party games but the best part was that she was totally surprised! Man o man am I glad that's over with, though. Being prego is stress enough for me! Now all I have to do is wait around for this little guy.
