Tropical Markets
It opened just a few doors down from us. A massive pale yellow building with America inside. There is a meat market with the chunks of flesh laid out neatly on crushed ice with sprigs of parsley for decoration. (A big switch from the typical meat counter around here with blood dripping down the glass, flies buzzing around, and a stench you can smell an aisle away.) They have a produce section with beautiful lettuce. And different KINDS of lettuce. Grapes, apples, plums, green onions- it is so amazing! I even found frozen pizzas! And Kraft cheese! It costs 6 bucks for 8 ounces so I doubt I will ever buy it but the point is that now I can. It calms me just to walk up and down the aisles and salivate. Nilla wafers, Ritz crackers, V8, Rice-a-roni, CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUP! All my long-lost friends. Its a happy day.
