Usually for our anniversary we stress about gifts for a few weeks, only to get each other nothing. This time we decided to go on a trip....WITHOUT KIDS.
I chose camping. (I have a love affair with the mountains the way Enoch does with the ocean.) Three days without cooking, without showering, and did I mention WITHOUT KIDS?

We went on an AMAZING 3 hour hike. We had to keep stopping to take pictures, it was just so breathtaking.
Enoch cooked the food.
I poured the bubbly. (its cider of course)
Our campsite had the most incredible view of the valley. You can see the lights of Fresno in the background here.
And a quick bike-ride away was a grove of Giant Sequoias. I am in the bottom right of the picture below, next to the General Grant Tree- third largest living thing in the world.
7 years and we still like each other, thats a good sign!

Hi Carly! I just love this camping idea, especially the no showering part. haha! Seriously, how fun to camp without kids? Oh how I miss the Redwoods...
