They had a big carnival at the park down the street last weekend. There were rides and booths and a parade and Santa, of course. Rivy has been watching this Dora Christmas DVD and talks about Santa and jingle bells all the time so I thought it would be fun for her to see him in person. Well, that didn't go over too well. We had Hosanna sit on his lap first so Rivka could see that he wasn't scary, but Hosanna started screaming. Rivy wouldn't even get near him. I felt bad for the guy playing Santa, he must deal with screaming kids all the time. Doesn't sound like too fun of a job. We finally found all our Christmas lights from last year. We kept searching our storage unit and digging through every nook and cranny on the boat; it just about drove us mad. And then we happened to notice them in the car, in plain view. Who knows how many months they've been there!
