Every year Galveston has a boat parade. Two years ago when my mom came to visit and help out with Rivka we took her down to Galveston to see the sights and happened to see the tail end of the parade. This year we are trying to keep Christmas full of traditions since going home for the holiday's isn't really a possibility this year. So we made it to the Galveston parade! Jill, Merrill, and Jesse went with us and it was a lot of fun. The best decorated boat by far was the last one. They had TONS of lights and a bunch of dancing girls wearing big T-shirts with a picture of a bikini on it. From far away it looked a little scandalous but up close you could see that they were really cool people having an awesome time. The girls (well, ladies really) were dancing with Santa and throwing necklaces out to the crowd. Our girls were pretty tired and cranky and didn't enjoy it nearly as much as Enoch and I.
We also got a real live Christmas tree! Its less than two feet tall; we bought a little pail and some rocks as a makeshift stand. Rivy LOVES it. And we finally found all the Christmas lights we used last year so our boat will be getting decorated here pretty soon. I'll be sure to post some pictures of that.
Other big news with us is that Enoch and I joined a gym. We are so excited! It was kind of like our Christmas present to each other. I have never been to a gym before so I'm still trying to figure what the heck I'm doing, but I actually woke up at 4:45 this morning to work out before Enoch left for work. No one in their right mind would describe me as a "morning person" but I am trying to change all that. Wish me luck!
And of course I'm saving the best for last... Hosanna finally FINALLY has teeth!!! I have been checking her gums every day, I mean she is 9 months old already and that's pretty unusual to not have any teeth yet. She has been really crabby lately and had a slight fever and I thought that was because she has been fighting a cold this past week. But yesterday her two bottom teeth poked through! As soon as they poke out enough to be visible I will post some pics of her new smile!
