Enoch's sister Amy is coming to stay with us for awhile (hallelujah!) so I will have some help with the kids and...... well, some free time I guess. What will I do with myself? Tough question.
I should take some classes online. I want to take classes online. But being a computer-impaired simpleton and one of those people adverse to change in any form it is a very big leap to make. Where do I start? Everyone has heard of the University of Phoenix but are there any other reputable online schools that are more affordable? Has anyone out there reading my blog taken online classes before? Any tips, pointers, advice, leads, suggestions?????
HELP!!!

Hey Carly, that is great to hear that you are thinking about college. Online classes are great for people that like to learn by reading but if you are the type to pays attention better when someone is talking to you then online classes are not a good idea. Chuck is one that likes to go to the actual class and learn. He has tried online classes before and dropped out after 2 weeks because it was very hard for him to concentrate. Anyway, there is my 2 cents. Hehe!
Hi Carly! Well, to answer your question....I took classes at University of Phoenix, the classes were dull and seemed too easy to me. I didn't feel like I was learning anything. Also they were such a rip off!! So expensive! That was just my experience. I guess it also depend on what you want to major in. On another note...your family is gorgeous!
Hmm, I was gonna say you could just take classes from the community college here, online, but then I realized you're not a resident any more...I'll see what I can find. :)
Unfortunately, while University of Phoenix Online is convenient and pretty cheap, it is not very reputable.
I would suggest looking into taking online courses through one of the UCs or Cal State schools. I know that Berkeley offers a copy editing program that is supposed to be good. Copy editing is a great skill to have and there are lots of opportunities available that you can do on a part-time basis from home.
Let us know what you decide!
