Pit stop is friggin awesome!!! More water, and phone again, read and relaxed a bit this morning, hit the road, nice long downhill glide. Marvelous sunrise, the desert is covered in gems and fossils. :)
I am the sun king - or peacock head. 40 miles cycled.

Oct. 8
So I feel like blade runner, because I ride on a 6 inch wide road shoulder, where the surface is flat and carries my momentum like a train track/balance beam. My focus is so harmonious within me and surrounding me, I am part of everything, thank you for being with me :)

Oct 8: Two huge sonic booms almost lifted me off my feet.
Bout 70 miles now, jammin!

Found a pair of rabbit's feet a coyote must not have wanted to eat, means good luck I guess...Awesome :)

Finally reached the foot of the sierras, Ridgecrest, there is just too much grandeur in the presence of these mighty castles of stone, these rocky spines, our home state's great gates to heavenly heights! :) I feel at home in the shadow cast by the great mountains I grew up being mesmerized by, they are in my soul.
Oct 9: 120 miles now, I'm stopped at Inyokern.
Oct 9: There were rigid bumps along the road shoulder so I caught a ride, with a nice couple, Brady and Karen, had a great conversation in excellent company. Brady is a pastor, and their lights shine bright! :)
Oct 9: Am stopped in lone pine at the base of Mt. Whitney, which you can see behind me :)
Oct 9: Yes!!!!!!!! AWESOME RIDE! There is a new highway under construction that I got to myself, so I put both hands on the front of my seat and cruise 20 miles no handed, what a relaxing way to go, like a sailboat! Ah, the freedom in rejuvenating :)
Oct 9: Today's earlier hitch hike was from Inyokern to Lone Pine, then I stopped for a bit at a lone pine barbeque then off the side of the road at a drainage oasis for half and hour, then I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to mediate on top of an eagles nest, yea, for real! It was awesome!!!
(Hey Eli I'm reporting you the Sierra Club- that's our nation's bird! What's happened to low impact? ;)

Oct 9: I'm in Independence, CA.
to be continued....
