Tribute to Number Two

Four years ago....

Hosanna joined our family. She was my smallest baby, only 8lbs 9oz. I remember we dropped off Rivka at church on Sunday with some friends of ours, and then rushed to the birth center to deliver her 20 minutes later. And we thought she was going to be a boy. She was the most beautiful baby.

Rivka was furious with me for about a day, screamed if I came near her. Once she realized she was not being replaced she grew quite fond of this new little person.

Just like Jude, her hair all fell out within four or five months. She has always had the most expressive eyes. The first 2 years of her life were spent on the boat.

Below is her signature "silly face". I have no idea where it came from, but she would amuse us all every night. (She is sitting in her shelf/bed on the boat)

Hosanna is the type of child that feeds off of attention. She just beams with joy whenever you fawn over her. (which is why she takes such great pictures) Very different from Rivka, who hated to snuggle and thought she didn't need parents. Hosanna has the gift of nurturing, LOVES animals, has always preferred my sister Sam, is slowly learning to sing on-key, and spends most of her time in her own imaginary world (using her high-pitched "barbie voice").

Oh yea, and there was that year in Panama.

Hosanna recently had an EEG to test her brain waves for abnormalities/epilepsy/damage from her brain infection in Panama. And she is NORMAL!!! Her many seizures must be fever-induced. No daily medication needed, no complications, yay yay yay!!!

She is so cute. I am glad she is doing okay now.

I hope you are watching Jude. I am making my plans to "steal" him. Ha, ha.

Such great news!! Hurray Hurray!
Love the pictures too. What a life story all ready and she's only 4! What other child that age can say she lived on a boat and also in Panama?
