The Bayou Wildlife Park

This park is amazing. We took the whole fam last Saturday. First we explored the petting zoo, teeming with fat little goats who like to nibble on your clothes and an enormous obese pig lying in the corner. But the real surprise was the mama goat who had just given birth to two wee little kids. In this picture she hasn't even delivered the placenta yet. You can kind of see her licking one baby clean while the other is trying to nurse.

Next we boarded the tram for a tour of the grounds where all the "wild" creatures live. Rivka kept looking out for tigers but fortunately we didn't run into any of those. :) We got a bucket of animal food and the furry guys would come right up to us and eat straight out of our hands- it was so cool!

This guy is my favorite- can I have one? I have always wanted a little goat (its true ask my mom) but I've changed my mind. I want an alpaca. They are like llamas but softer and cuter. AAAaawwwwwww.

We got some great close up shots of an ostrich and a llama.

And to top it all off they had free pony rides for the children. Disneyland ain't got nothin' on this place.
