What?! A boy??

We arose bright and early this morning for the ultrasound. The technician put the device thingy on my belly for about half a second, then pulled it away with a huge smile on her face. Then she leaned over and whispered something to Rivka.

So Rivvy was the one who got to spill the beans and shatter my confidence in mother's intuition.

I was right about there being only one (and I know I am crazy to be disappointed but I am) but I was just positive that this one was a girl! I was skeptical at first when Rivka announced it was a baby brother, but then I saw the family jewels myself right there on the screen. (We won't post those pictures here...)

The picture above was my favorite. His head is to the right and his arm is bent with his fingers in his mouth. So it starts in the womb! We are still trying to break Rivka of that habit.

I also wanted to share a very disturbing dream I had last night. (I never sleep soundly when I know I have to wake up early the next day)

I could see inside my belly and was watching my baby swim around, but then the baby turned into a doll, then a toy soldier, then a large ziploc bag full of cheerios, and on and on with random things. I thought I was going insane and went immediately to the doctor. (still dreaming) After many strange tests I can only vaguely remember, they concluded that in my sleep I walk around the house and eat stuff. Laugh all you want but I really believed I had this disorder of swallowing toys and trash. It was one of those vivid dreams that takes you 10-20 minutes after waking to fully come out of it. Creepy!
