Ah, the beach

Memorial Day is perfect for BBQing on the beach at Galveston with friends. We had a forecast of scattered thunder storms, but as you can see...

We found an awesome beach where you can park right on the sand, and our friends brought the coolest toys- like the cast iron grill above and the dragon kite below.

What do you get when you mix 9 kiddos, some sunshine, water and sand? 7 hours of no fighting, no fussing, no whining. They just played...

and played...

and played!

Zion spent a good chunk of his time throwing the frizbee in the waves and then chasing it. Over and over again.

This was the only time we could get Rivka to look at the camera, to show Daddy her stick. She was very focused on her sandcastle-building.

And Hosanna just ran around the whole time. Aimlessly. And far. But we only lost her once!

She got bored with us and started hanging out with another family nearby. They had a little girl about her age (the girl in the pink 2 piece), but Hosanna was more interested in playing with the men in their group. Below she is trying to edge her way into their hacky sac circle.

We soaked up as much sun as we could! It made us realize how much we miss being beach bums!
