Gifts

Our friend Omar brought over some treats for us from his family's farm. Cantalope, pineapple, avocados, and homemade cheese that was only a day old! (wrapped in a banana leaf too!) I am not kidding when I say that the cheese was the best I have EVER tasted. We are hoping the avocados turn out yummy when they ripen because nine times out of ten the avocados here stay bitter. They must pick them too early- we always cross our fingers as we watch them darken on our counter-top. We hold our breath as we timidly take a small taste. Then we either throw a small guacamole party or we immediately brush our teeth.

Keep writing Carly! You have talent for sure. I loved that potty article you never sent in to that magazine. And yesterday, oh my goodness...your list of living in Panama was down right scary.
