Carly Quirks

I have been tagged and must now reveal my true self to the cyber world. My list of quirks is very long, but here are 6 worth mentioning, in no particular order.

1. I am an American Idol fan.
Sure, isn't everybody? Oh yes but I go on the website every day (during the season) and read the debates and look at the slideshows and watch the clips over and over again.

2. I love to dance with my kids.
This I only do when no one else is around. When Enoch is there I do a toned down version. We blast the music really loud, wiggle our hips, head bang, moonwalk, jitterbug, cha-cha, waltz, disco, etc. It basically looks like full body spasms.

3. It takes me 1-2 hours to fall asleep at night.
I have to roll over several times, think of everything that happened that day, everything that might happen tomorrow, evaluate how I'm doing in life, then I start having fantasies that I am the main character in a movie and Enoch and I are dating. Then I slowly drift off.

4. I LOVE jigsaw puzzles.
Growing up I had a puzzle from the Monterey Bay Aquarium that I put together and kept on my dresser for years. I imagined decorating my future home with tons of puzzle pictures and puzzle paintings that I put together, glued, and hung on the walls. I still think this is a good idea; I just haven't really had the opportunity to accomplish it. (I still need a house TO decorate) But needless to say, my love of puzzles lives on. And the bigger the better.

5. I consider shaving optional.
Let me be more specific: I consider shaving my legs to be optional. Other parts of my body I shave daily, but I only shave my legs when it starts to bother me. Sometimes only a week goes by, sometimes two months. And Enoch really doesn't care, he doesn't even notice when I DO shave.

6. I don't like to step on cracks.
Not only cracks, but imaginary lines extending from doorways. And grout lines. I have gotten much better about it since I've had kids; I guess I'm too busy now to notice the cracks.
